Hellenic AC

Hellenic Athletic Club, also commonly known as Hellenic Athletic, is an Australian soccer club from Darwin, the Northern Territory. Hellenic Athletic currently competes in the NorZone Premier League.

Hellenic were formed in 1958 and consider Darwin Olympic as their main rivals – the rivalry dates back 32 years, considered one of the territory's strongest sporting rivalries.

Hellenic advanced to the Round of 32 of the 2018 FFA Cup for the first time by defeating Verdi FC 9–0 in the Sports Minister's Cup final. The draw for the Round of 32 was conducted on 26 June 2018 where Hellenic was drawn against A-League club Western Sydney Wanderers. They faced each other at Darwin Football Stadium on 7 August 2018 where Hellenic lost 3–4. Sulav Maskey was the eventual winner of the inaugural FFA Cup Goal of the Year by getting on the end of a through ball and chipping the Wanderer's keeper with his first touch.

Le Hellenic Athletic Club, souvent appelé Hellenic AC, est un club de football australien basé à South Brisbane, dans le Queensland. Le club participe au Championnat de Queensland de football de deuxième division, le deuxième niveau du système de football du Queensland.

Le club a été fondé en 1949 par des immigrés grecs et a connu une histoire riche au sein de la communauté grecque du Queensland. Le club a remporté le Championnat du Queensland de première division à six reprises, le plus récemment en 2002.

Le Hellenic AC est connu pour son style de jeu offensif et sa forte éthique de travail. L'équipe a produit un certain nombre de joueurs talentueux au fil des ans, notamment le capitaine de Socceroos, Lucas Neill, et l'ancien attaquant de Manchester United, Mark Viduka.

Le club joue ses matchs à domicile au Perry Park à South Brisbane. Le stade a une capacité de 5 000 spectateurs et est un lieu populaire pour les matchs de football locaux.

Le Hellenic AC est un club communautaire fier avec une forte tradition. Le club s'engage à promouvoir le football et à favoriser la cohésion sociale dans la communauté grecque du Queensland.
