New York Athletic Club

New York Athletic Club is an American soccer club based in Westchester County, New York, United States. Founded in 2008, the club fields teams in both the National Premier Soccer League and the Cosmopolitan Soccer League (part of the USASA). The two leagues represent the fourth and fifth tiers of the American soccer pyramid, respectively.

The team plays its home games at the New York Athletic Club at Travers Island, where they have played since 2008. The border between New Rochelle and Pelham Manor runs through the field at Travers Island. Most of the field is located in New Rochelle, but the entire parking lot is located in Pelham Manor. The team's colors are red, white, and blue.

The women's team, a sister club of the organization, plays in the Women's Premier Soccer League.

Le New York Athletic Club (NYAC) est un club omnisports basé à New York aux États-Unis. Fondé en 1868, il est connu pour son équipe de football, l'une des plus anciennes et des plus titrées du pays.

Le NYAC a remporté huit Coupes des États-Unis, dont trois consécutives de 1895 à 1897. Le club a également terminé deuxième à trois reprises, en 1898, 1909 et 1920. En championnat national, le NYAC a remporté deux titres, en 1910 et 1911.

L'équipe de football du NYAC a joué un rôle clé dans le développement du football aux États-Unis. En 1888, le club a organisé le premier match international de football aux États-Unis, contre une équipe du Canada. Le NYAC a également été l'un des fondateurs de la United States Football Association (USFA) en 1913.

Aujourd'hui, le NYAC continue à aligner une équipe de football amateur qui évolue au sein de l'United Soccer Leagues (USL). Le club dispose également d'un programme de jeunes réputé et a produit de nombreux joueurs qui ont évolué au niveau professionnel.
