Wikipedia - Bangalore Football League

The Bangalore Football League is organised by the Bangalore District Football Association (BDFA), which is affiliated to the Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) as a ladder-based state football competition involving a total of four divisions and over 130 teams in the Indian state of Karnataka. BDFA Super Division is the top-division, started in 2001. The winner is awarded George Hoover trophy. Prior to 2001, the BDFA A Division was the top tier, which currently act as 2nd tier of the state leagues ladder.

Bangalore Super Division, le championnat phare de football de Bangalore, est un tournoi annuel qui rassemble les meilleurs clubs de la ville. Créé en 1970, il s'agit de l'une des ligues de football les plus prestigieuses du Karnataka et d'une plateforme pour les jeunes talents en herbe.

Les matches de la Bangalore Super Division se déroulent dans divers stades de la ville, notamment le Bangalore Football Stadium et le Sree Kanteerava Stadium. Le tournoi se joue sous une forme de championnat, avec chaque équipe s'affrontant en matches aller et retour. L'équipe qui accumule le plus de points à la fin de la saison est couronnée championne.

Au fil des ans, la Bangalore Super Division a produit de nombreux joueurs talentueux qui ont représenté l'Inde sur la scène internationale. Parmi les anciens joueurs notables figurent Sunil Chhetri, Sandesh Jhingan et Gurpreet Singh Sandhu. La ligue a également joué un rôle crucial dans le développement du football à Bangalore et a contribué à populariser ce sport dans la ville.
