Liga 3 (English: League Three) is the lowest tier in the Indonesian football league system organized by the PSSI. Formed as Liga Nusantara in 2014, this league occupies the third tier and consists of 2 rounds: provincial qualification—held in every province in Indonesia, and a national round, competed for by provincial qualifiers (the number varies between provinces). The PSSI typically delegated the task of organizing the provincial qualifiers to its members, the provincial football associations, while PSSI organized the national round.
History
The competition was established after Liga Indonesia Second Division and Liga Indonesia Third Division merged in 2014. Starting in 2015, the Liga Indonesia First Division was also merged with Liga Nusantara making it the third-tier level in Indonesian football system. Persatu Tuban won the competition's first season.
In 2017, Liga Nusantara was renamed to Liga 3, along with Indonesian Super League and Indonesian Premier Division which were renamed to Liga 1 and Liga 2, respectively.
La Liga 3 est le troisième niveau du système des ligues de football indonésiennes. Elle est organisée par l'Association indonésienne de football (PSSI) et se déroule chaque année depuis 2014.
**Format**
La Liga 3 est disputée par 64 équipes divisées en 8 groupes régionaux. Les deux meilleures équipes de chaque groupe se qualifient pour les 16e de finale, qui se disputent sous forme de matchs aller-retour. Les vainqueurs des 16e de finale se qualifient pour les quarts de finale, les demi-finales et la finale, qui se disputent sur un match unique.
**Vainqueurs**
Les vainqueurs de la Liga 3 sont promus en Liga 2, le deuxième niveau du système des ligues de football indonésiennes. Le vainqueur de la Liga 3 2022 était Karo United.
**Importance**
La Liga 3 est une compétition importante pour les jeunes joueurs et les clubs amateurs indonésiens. Elle offre aux joueurs l'opportunité de se faire remarquer par des clubs de niveau supérieur et aux clubs de progresser dans le système des ligues de football indonésiennes.
