Wikipedia - Sportfreunde Baumberg

Sportfreunde Baumberg is a German amateur football club from the neighbourhood of Baumberg in Monheim am Rhein, North Rhine-Westphalia. Founded in 1962, the team plays in the Oberliga Niederrhein in the fifth tier of the German football league system.

History

As the winners of the 2013 Lower Rhine Cup, the club played in the 2013–14 DFB-Pokal. In the first round on 3 August, it lost 4–1 at home to FC Ingolstadt 04 of the 2. Bundesliga.

After three seasons in the tier five Oberliga Niederrhein, the club was relegated to the Landesliga Niederrhein (tier six) at the end of the 2014–15 season but bounced back immediately with a league championship and promotion there.

A new stadium will be built within the Sportzentrum am Kielsgraben which will be finished in the midst of 2025.

Le Sportfreunde Baumberg est un club de football allemand localisé à Baumberg, un arrondissement de la ville de Monheim am Rhein dans la Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie.

Fondé en 1912, le club a évolué au sein des divisions inférieures du football allemand jusqu'à sa promotion en Oberliga Niederrhein (cinquième division) en 2005. Le Sportfreunde Baumberg a remporté la Niederrheinpokal (coupe régionale) en 2012, se qualifiant ainsi pour la DFB-Pokal (coupe nationale) lors de la saison 2012-2013.

Le club évolue actuellement en Regionalliga West (quatrième division) depuis sa promotion en 2013. Son stade, le Ulrich-Haberland-Stadion, a une capacité de 5 000 spectateurs.

Le Sportfreunde Baumberg est connu pour sa solide défense et son jeu offensif efficace, ainsi que pour son atmosphère conviviale et ses supporters passionnés. Le club compte également une section féminine qui évolue en Regionalliga West.
