Wayside Celtic F.C. is an Irish association football club based in Kilternan, Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown. Their senior men's competes in the Leinster Senior League. They also have a women's team who play in the Dublin Women's Soccer League.

History

Wayside Celtic F.C. was formed in 1948 and before joining the Leinster Senior League, they had previously played in both the Athletic Union League and the Wicklow & District Football League

Le Wayside Celtic est un club de football irlandais basé à Dublin. Fondé en 1924, le club évolue actuellement en Leinster Senior League, le troisième niveau du football irlandais. Le Wayside Celtic dispute ses matchs à domicile au Wayside Celtic Park.

Le club a connu un certain succès au niveau national, ayant remporté la FAI Junior Cup à trois reprises (1961, 1963 et 1964). Le Wayside Celtic a également participé à la Coupe d'Europe des vainqueurs de coupe lors de la saison 1962-1963, s'inclinant au premier tour face au club italien de la Fiorentina.

Parmi les joueurs notables qui ont évolué au Wayside Celtic figurent John Giles, qui a ensuite joué pour Manchester United et l'équipe nationale d'Irlande, et Damien Duff, qui a joué pour Chelsea et l'équipe nationale d'Irlande.
