Wikipedia - Timea Bacsinszky
Timea Bacsinszky, née le à Lausanne, est une joueuse de tennis suisse, professionnelle de 2004 à 2021.
Professionnelle depuis 2003, elle a remporté quatre titres en simple sur le circuit WTA et atteint la 9e place mondiale en mai 2016. Ses meilleurs résultats en tournoi du Grand Chelem sont deux demi-finales à Roland-Garros perdues face à Serena Williams en 2015 et face à Jeļena Ostapenko en 2017, futures lauréates de l'épreuve. Lors des Jeux olympiques de Rio en 2016, elle décroche une médaille d'argent en double aux côtés de Martina Hingis. En juillet 2021, elle annonce sa retraite sportive. Son dernier match sur le circuit reste une défaite en deux sets contre l’Américaine Kristie Ahn, le 16 septembre 2019 à Séoul.
